Obviously, I couldn’t squeeze in all the wonderful folktales and legends associated with Chinese New Year into this one episode (I’m still committed to keeping each episode less than 15 minutes!).
I’m thinking I might do a part 2 – in next year’s Chinese New year episode.
I had so much fun digging into these stories. While I’m familiar with most of the traditions and special days in CNY, I’ve never really known the stories behind them. So in a way, it felt like I was getting to know my roots better through this episode. Which felt amazing.
